Congrats on a nifty ascent. You are not the first to discover that the Crags route is a cold, windy project in any season but summer, and it doesn't take much snow to make the trail disappear! Nice photos.
Thanks! This was a humbling experience--these mountains are so awesome--despite a road, railroad, and conveniences at the summit, Pikes Peak is far from tamed. The futility of all that is obvious when stacked against the limitless forces at its disposal.
