Mosca Peak from the Sub-summit

Mosca Peak from the Sub-summit

This picture was taken from the sub-summit on the south ridge. There was a bit of nasty bushwhacking to get here, not to mention the bushwhacking to get off! The oaks were changing their colors, and the views were spectacular!

Re: oaks?

The Manzanos are just south of the Sandias and Albuquerque. Yes, the oaks are high on the mountains, and they are gorgeous in the fall. Just not very fun to bushwhack through!
