Route Climbed: West approach from Sylvia Lake via cross country route Date Climbed: Sometime in the early 1980s
I took the long easy trail to Slyvia Lake and headed up the west slope going cross country, picking my way up the easiest way. I got on the west saddle of the peak and followed it to the summit block. Great rock formations at the top to explore.
Route Climbed: Lake Aloha - east face to 9696 - Crystal Range north to Agassiz Date Climbed: July 31, 2004
From west side of Lake Aloha climbed up ridge towards 9696 (between Agassiz & Pyramid). Traversed right on east face of slope to summit of Crystal Range at ridge "bump" between 9696 and Agassiz (class 3 scramble). Traversed northwest on west face of Crystal Range slope until at bottom of Agassiz overhang. Cut left along overhang (class 3 scramble) until you find notch with old pine tree. Slipped through notch to back side of Agassiz overhang, turned right and found summit boulders to climb up onto the top.
Route Climbed: Smith Lake from Wright's Lake Date Climbed: July 19, 2003
Climbed both Mt Price and Mt Agassiz with loopdedo ascending from Smith Lake, then across the bowl above Island Lake, and reaching Mt Price via the class 3 north ridge - highly enjoyable climbing there. Next on to Agassiz, then across Lyons Creek basin back to Smith Lake and down to Wrights Lake. PICS
