West Gully
Great gully when there's good snow like on this day. Wish I had my skis for this; I wasn't expecting such good coverage on a west facing gully this time of year.

Call me a criminal
Climbed it... you can own a mountain, but you can't tame it or stop determined people from climbing it.

Lightning!
We didn't make it up Bross due to a lightning storm coming in. We came down through a gully with snow and ruins from mining.

BRON
Last one of the day. I thought only the crap rock volcanoes in the Pac NW had scree like that. Ah well, headed to Breckenridge and had pizza at Downstairs at Eric's afterwards. Thanks for the nice vacation week, Colorado.

Peak 4 of the Decalibron
Bagged Bross as the last of four Fourteeners which are part of the Decalibron Loop. The decent was long and full of scree, but fun. This is where hiking boots add value over tennis shoes!

Exhausting!
Windy and tired, #4 of Decalibron. Plenty of sunshine and wind. Had to rest a minute on the DESCENT!!

Fantastic day but windy. Not too much snow either. Also did Cameron and Lincoln

Just a windswept hump
The only redeeming quality is high wind climbing practice
The pain generated in my thighs from descending through the scree was unpleasant, to say the least. Yet, the whole Decalibron Day (D-Day) was wonderful! Scree fest and all!

Decalibron tour
Last summit of the tour; had good views all around from this unremarkable summit. The descent to Kite lake was unpleasant. Total hike time was 4 hours.
