I think there may be somethig wrong with me since I'm willing to drive 8 hours for a 3 hour hike. Very nice area. The view of Mt. Shasta from the summit is stunning. I'll have to spend more time in the area. Couldn't find the summit register.

Great day hike
A great day hike with beautiful alpine lakes and gorgeous flora. This would make a great trail run or to take the dogs for the day (they are allowed). I've also heard it popular for backcountry skiing in the winter.

Siskiyou Lake: Summer 1969
Climbed it with a friend in the Boy Scouts. We must have been 13 years old at the time. Made it down in the dark. There was no trail to the top in those days.

Boys Hike
Did this day hike with my 13 year old son. Started from Parks Creek TH and had a great time. Shared the Deadfall Lakes trail with about 20 Boy Scouts camping at Middle Deadfall. Not a cloud in the sky.."I can see my house from here" moment. And, yes, the register was still there.

Hike with my Dad
Hiked from the PCT gap, hit the summit in a little over 2 hrs. Views were spectacular, swam in the little lake on the way back. I've wanted to climb this mountain for years, was happy to do it with my Dad.
EDIT: Your register is there, signed it. Thanks.

A Different Route!
I climbed Mt. Eddy with my step father when I was 14, however, we started the climb at 4,000 ft. from our cabin in Hammond Ranch. Since there are no trails leading from our cabin, we had to embark on an epic 6 hour bushwhack then, when we arrived above tree line, a 5 mile ridge walk to the summit. What a long day!

Went Swimming
It was an exteremly hot day and all I could think about while I was going up the trail was coming back down to go swimming in one of the lakes, but once on top I was loving the views of Shasta. I did get my swim in though and it felt wonderful.

Well some how we took the wrong trail straight out of parking lot, opting for an interesting day. After hiking to the top of a small hill, we could see the peak, and headed straight for the summit from the Northwest ridge. It made for a great day with an awsome view of Shasta for over half of the way up.

Sunset on Eddy
Camped at Upper Deadfall lakes where there was only one other camper, despite the tent city down on Lower Deadfall Lake. Up to the summit to watch the sunset light up Shasta and the Trinity Alps. Ordinary hike, extraordinary views!
The first of 5 county highpoint peaks in 4 days A fun but quick trip. I may have to go back to fish the Deadfall Lakes.

Sunset Hike
I Left Parks Creek trailhead around 5:00 p.m. with Juan, Luis, Lab Dylan, and Kelpie Marley. The boys fished for awhile at the far west end of Middle Deadfall Lake, then Juan, the dogs, and I scrambled up the scree to meet up with the summit trail below the upper lake. At the top, we took in the outstanding views until after sunset, then found Luis in the moonlight near the lake and hiked back to the trailhead, arriving at midnight. We camped at a pullout part way down toward deadfall meadow so as not to awaken the other campers at the trailhead.
My friend Caleb and I climbed Mt. Eddy on a beautiful fall day...until we got to the top and the clouds hit us. The wind was nasty and we could not wait to get off the mountain.
nice ski up the east ridge with the dogs. we camped on its lower toe and went for the top the next day(I think it was 7 miles of x-c to the top)and descended the south side (steep!) to a trail and got a shuttle back to the car.

Nice placeWe visited the area after climbing Shasta and Lassen. Camped at the lakes, great place. Register there but all the groups the day before us did not sign it as it looks like garbage inside tin cans.
