Goats were everywhere!
Did the Tour d'Abyss route - Evans road to Bierstadt's East Ridge, Sawtooth, back to Evans. A great climb with lots of fun scrambling!

Did the loop from summit lake. Did mt Spalding as well. Was sad when I saw all the people who drove up. Fun hike 1st 14er of 2013 for me and 2nd overall. Friend's first 14er
I drove up and did the little hike to the top with my wife and daughters. My daughters were excited to be up so high.
Nice hike from Summit Lake, lots of people.
Mt Spalding as well.
Great steep snow climb on a bluebird day!! Decended the west ridge and over to Mt Spalding.
Fun, long, hike.
There's really no good way to go about hiking this from Guanella Pass. No matter how careful I was I still got my feet wet. Also climbed up the wrong side of the gully and had to carefully downclimb and traverse to the left side. I was scared of a slide. If I had to do it over I would have just done the Sawtooth traverse.
tour de abyss...
Fun and easy ridge hike.
Most recently, a quick trip up from Summit Lake. Nice break to the drive en route to Denver airport...
Awesome trip, Bierstadt, Sawtooth, Evans, long way from Sawtooth to Evans and the Willows of Guanella pass at the end sucked the rest of my energy.
Did this one as part of a road trip in 1998ish.
First time in Colorado, had a a beautiful morning.
Really nice route from Mount Bierstadt and over the Sawtooth. Not very crowded, perfect weather!
I reached Evans`s summit after bagging Bierstadt from Guanella Pass then scrambling the connecting sawtooth ridge. Descended via the steep gully then through the willow infested marshy terrain. This was a fun day that had started with a moose sighting near the Pass. This was peak #12 on day 9 of my 13 day trip.
