Two hours up from the Race Brook Falls trail head and ninety five minutes down. The stream crossings were pretty wild at this time of year.
Quick little hike up with friends, nice views over the surrounding states
I bagged it on my way to CT on the AT.
Topped this peak while hiking all of CT's AT portions
Hiked this during the winter, and it was a memorable one. I wore crampons and still managed to fall on my rear end. The views were good, but not great, as it was the middle of winter and a bit cloudy.
With mstender - a good guy to hike with!
I was surprised at the climb out of Race Brook camping area. Tough little hill.
Finally get back to Everett. I LOVE this mountain.....so happy I returned (in shape) to re hike it. Can't wait for Everett Round 3!
Ascended via the old fire tower rd. Nice limited views from the top. Trees were fascinating around the summit area.
Nice views into New York.
This was the one that wiped me out.....we had done Race Brook before, and I was not in the best shape.....so I was not a fan of Everett, But I shall retun this year and redo it. It was a good view at the top
Climbed with Race via Race Brook Trail from Route 41. An enjoyable day-hike with great views of the Taconics, Catskills and Shawangunks from the breezy summit.
Did 3 Taconics summits with Chinigo: Bear Mt., Mt. Race and Everett. Pretty long hike (13 miles; we parked cars at 2 different trailheads) but it was a gorgeous day. Views from the top of Everett are not as great as from Race though.
Another fierce mountain conquered during my 2000 AT thru-hike.
Hit this one with Scouts many a time
Camped on the way up with the family. Fun place to go with kids.
was also there in '50s but don't know when
Topped this peak while hiking all of CT's AT portions. Ate lunch on a nice rocky meadow that allowed us to dry our clothes from wading in Sages Ravine. Great humid East Coast day.
If not for one "s", I can say I climbed Everest without oxygen.
Cold, windy and clear. Spent little time with Jenkins on the summit before finding a sheltered area to eat.
