Climbed along with Colorado Mines,Eva,Perry, Bancroft and James Pk. Long Day but very rewarding.
Had intended to go for Eva as well, but just as I hit Flora's summit, clouds rolled in, wind increased, it got cold quickly, visibility dropped, and I just decided not to make it a longer day in those conditions. Ran into someone on her 13er finisher with other members of the Ellingwood Society.
Climbed on a spring break ski trip to Winter Park.
With Eva & Parry.
Climbed along with Bancroft, Parry, Eva, and Whitter. One of my most memorable days of solo mountaineering.
great hike. nice gradual 13er with good views. highly recommend it!
Hiked from Berthoud to Flora with PArry and then went back. tough day
Visited the summit of this peak 3 times during an out-and-back trip from Berthoud Pass to Bancroft. After hiking up CO Mines in the evening of the 21st I spent the night on the summit of Flora (amazing city lights and stars!), then continued on to Wittier, Eva, Parry, and Bancroft before retracing my steps back over Parry, Eva, and Flora over to Breckenridge, then back up Flora for the third and final time on return to Berthoud Pass. Would be great as a traverse if you can arrange a car shuttle at St Mary's Glacier - but this way was still fun!
2 pm start baby. Awesome.
Took my two year old daughter up this and Mines Peak from Berthoud Pass. Nice hike to an amazingly scenic summit.
I bypassed Colorado Mines and went straight for the Mount Flora summit. Good views of the higher 13ers to the north and the 14ers to the south. Good trail the entire way.
Wife, dog, and I. Successful second attempt after bailing due to the weather being too bad for the dog. Also did Breckinridge.
Hiked up from Berthold Pass, crossed over Colorado Mines Peak on the way to Flora, and then over to Breckinridge. Returned the stay way, but made an unsuccessfully sully over to Cone (unsuccessful since the skies started turning dark).
THis is the first thirteenter I hiked 2 times. The first I hiked both Colorado Mines and Flora just after Colorado's first snow. Cloudy on top and the only views were from the saddles. The top of the clouds were only about 100 feet above the peak. Windy and cold. My first thirteener in the snow.
The second time I hiked it in June. Hiked over Flora to Eva, then back to Berthoud Pass. It was good to actually have views from the top.
I climbed this one while Kimberly and Kessler were waiting for me on the summit of Colorado Mines Peak.
