great wallhuge one, does anyone climb these walls in the area ? is the rock solid enough ?

Re: great wallTechnical climbs in the area have been done, notably on nearby Mount Siyeh, a fantastic 4,000 foot north facing wall, but the rock in Glacier is typically very bad for technical climbs (loose limestone and sedimentary). A number of well established and "cleaned off" routes do exist in the Park and the list is steadily growing. This particular face in this photo has not been climbed, to my knowledge. Glacier does indeed have some classic climbs available. See "Thin Man's Pleasure" here at SP for starters, keeping in mind that 90% of the rock in Glacier is rotten.

Re: great wallThe NE face - right of center - has been climbed. There is a claim to an ascent of the east face (facing camera), but it is questionable....
