Namesake

It's always nice to climb peaks that share our name. I for instance have done both Mount Adams and Mount Walker. :)

It is fun to do peaks that share our names. I looked up the history on Mount Kerr and it was named by Edward Whymper(of Matterhorn fame) after a railroad official Robert Kerr who helped arrange Whymper's Rockies trip. I could not establish a direct link with Robert Kerr but the Kerr Clan is large and wide spread.
