Climbed in late october 03 in a rough wind day. Probably at least 40-50 sustained probably higher on the Lincoln Bross saddle since I was picked up a few feet there. Once we gained the ridge between Democrat and Cameroon, by the Lincoln Bross sadle we had to crawl for sections. Overall a quick circuit and alot of fun despite the winds.
Route Climbed: West ridge Date Climbed: August 1997
Did this together with Bross and Democrat (like everyone else!). Lots of people up here today. Met some mountain bikers who took the mining roads from Bross up. I glissaded down the scree slopes on Bross to attain the lower gulch, not recommended. Tore a hole through my pants!
Route Climbed: via East Shoulder Date Climbed: August 12th, 2003
I spend hours trying to locate this Quartzville Creek Trailhead cause being on a budget/broke college guy I didn't feel like forking over cash for crashing at Kite Lake.....thus after finally finding this "trailhead" I spent a peaceful and quiet night alone in the view of the valley and the massive peaks. The next morning I headed out for Lincoln, this rarely used trail provided for some history as I passed thru demolished mines....the summit itself was not so impressive.
Route Climbed: Decalibron Date Climbed: 17 September, 2004
Did the whole route (for the second time) from Kite Lake with Trish, while Suzanne and Amber left us at the Democrat/Cameron saddle and did just Cameron/Lincoln/Bross. A beautiful, sunny day.
Route Climbed: Lincoln Ampitheatre from Montgomery Reservoir Date Climbed: July 3, 2005
Lincoln ampitheatre route is a good alternative to the more crowded routes. Climbed Lincoln then traversed to Cameron, Bross, "South Bross", back to Cameron and over to Democrat. Nasty storm was coming in, so I quickly descended back to Cameron/Democrat saddle and then went down the steep scree slope to the north. From there I found the wheeler trail and hiked back out to the reservoir. Pretty long this way, but a good time.
