Bonus peak on the way down Washington.
Got a little bit of clearing in the cloud cover when I made the top, otherwise, a walk in the clouds.
Jogged up quick from loc hut...great views
Did an out and back hike along Crawford Path, with Monroe as the turnaround point. Classic White Mountains weather, with the summits shrouded in fog and wind, and sunlight down in the valley.
Presidential Traverse in a day. Amazing hike.
We added Monroe after ascending Mount Washington via Huntington Ravine. It's a nice little trek over from Washington that provides a bit more solitude and some nice views from the top.
Stopped for second breakfast. Really great to have the summit all to myself.
Did this as part of a long hike up Mount Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, and Madison. I don't remember the order, just that my buddy Chris and I were exhausted at the end of the day and having to stop to make some food in the dark because I was so hungry.
Cold but beautiful day with a little wind. The four of us broke trail all the way to the hut. Hardest hike I've done in a long time!
Great trip doubled up with Washington. Ammonusuc Ravine Trail > Lakes of the Clouds Hut > Monroe Spur to Summit, then Monroe Summit > Crawford Path > Gulfside Trail > Jewell Trail
Presidential traverse with Ryan Draft and Jamie Gagnon
Did as part of a 1 day presi traverse. Wonderful weather and great views on all summits.
Did Monroe after the big "W", hiked basically blind from Washington to Monroe, and back to Washington. A great grandfather was my guide, met him on the hill, if he didn't know the way I wouldn't have bagged it. Thanks kind sir, wish u would have accepted more than a granolo bar and a handshake.
Found the shelter and had to turn back!
good views nice day!
40 Degrees and gray. can't wait to get to the hut for dinner.
This peak was an easy climb after the more difficult northern peaks on the north to south traverse. It had nice views.
Part of a north-to-south presi traverse dayhike, Madison to Webster. Great conditions until just before the Mizpah hut, at which point there was some lightning and hail.
Edmands Path to Crawford Path. Walking along the Crawford path to the summit of Monroe was a truly breathtaking experience.
