"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Untitled CommentNice job. I was wondering when someone would put this up. It's the highpoint of my home town and I grew up seeing it out my bedroom window.
However, I might take issue with your comments about the "real" white mountains. Hike the Mahoosuc Range and see what you think. Success, Goose-Eye, Fulling Mill, and Speck are more above tree line than Moriah, certainly. For that matter, the humble Mount Hayes has loads of view-ridden rock on it's summit.
Seriously, it's good to see you working your way north.

Untitled CommentYou've got a point: Old Speck is taller than Moriah. (I forgot about it 'cause it's in Maine and I've been spending too much time around list hikers.) I'll make some edits.

Untitled CommentGreat page as always! I was on Mt. Moosilauke while you guys were up here. I must have added some of my pics at the wrong time though for Washington, Monroe, and Moosilauke because I didn't get too great of votes. Anyways, June 22nd was a beautiful day for both of us as it appears. Nicely done and take care!
