After a few unsuccessful attempts due to uncooperative weather, Bill Schulz and I climbed Patrick Gass on a glorious fall day. We stayed overnight at the USFS West Fork Cabin. We used every minute of daylight for the 20-plus mile roundtrip.

A Nice Adventure
We camped near the first crossing of Bruce Creek while there was still water available. By the second crossing there was barely any water - wet sand. The ridge is a delightful scramble but we were forced onto the West side by strong gusty winds capable of knocking us over. Views from the top are outstanding.
