Sherman, followed by Gemini Peak and Dyer Mountain and then the standard afternoon T-storm
A good hike to stretch the legs.
Climbed with my son Jonathan. Enjoyed the summit more than I expected I might!
Had an interesting climb up and ski down Mount Sherman during the "spring" -- that said, there was blowing snow and zero visibility, so it felt more like winter.
Cloudy and windy all day, except the sun broke out just as we summited. Excellent views of Elbert, Massive, and the Sawatch Range. Decided to climb Sheridan when I got back to the saddle.
Nice winter outing...
South Slope route snowshoe hike from winter trailhead. Strong wind above 13,600'. After summiting Sherman continued on to Gemini. Returned the same way. Nice winter hike, great views.
I climbed this about 5 years ago, and perhaps earlier as well, just forgot to post!
and with my wife. the first time got turned around by lightening this time it was perfect
Nice, easy day on the mountain. A little windy on the summit though!
Traverse from Dyer/Gemini
A boring and not very scenic hike.
Pretty easy stroll up to the summit from Leavick, even with some nasty wind up on the ridge. Clouds cleared up in time for our arrival to the summit, giving us nice views. Not too much snow. 5 1/2 hours c-t-c.
Very windy on ridge, summited Gemini and White ridge along.
4th summit November 13 2016
Blustery morning up the standard route. Trail was mostly packed snow from the last two mine shacks onward although traction was good regardless. First time I've had a 14er summit to myself, on a Sunday no less.
Also did this year as Dyer Mtn - Gemini - Sherman - Sheridan
Great day for a hike. Wilbo Goat, Ms. Bear and Mr. Mickey add another Colorado 14er to their list.
Did this circuit with Dyer and Gemini as well. Was a decent day in September. Coming from Dyer doing the class 3 SW Ridge made this enjoyable, otherwise a pretty plain and unattractive mountain.
Climbed this on a Monday with limited crowds. Not the prettiest mountain but great views of the Massive group and Elbert.
