Low snow year.
Night hiking with hardly any snow except at the very top above 3,800'. Lights of NB below lit up the scene a bit. Nice way to spend a Thu night.

Snow level 3020'
5 to 6 feet of snow at the summit. Snow was firm enough to stay on top of without any post-holing. Made for a quick descent as I heel stepped and boot skated on top of it.

good times in big snow. no glissade opportunities here but a good looking alpine ridge for such a close peak. 100 times more interesting than going to tiger mountain even on a bad day.

Green Trails Map
After more attempts than I care to admit I made it to the top! Unless you enjoy hiking fire roads that lead everywhere BUT the summit... Use Green Trails Map 206S Mt Si NRCA

Cloudy with good snow
Fun mountain to do in March! Unfortunately the summit of cloud covered but good views broke out on the North Ridge.

diarrhea + hiking = ouch
I was fairly ill during this hike but managed to summit with my friend Kyle. Probably the most painful hike ever, thank you diarrhea.

North Ridge ascent
Left the TH at 07:40 and reached the summit by 11. Lower trail previous to the "owl hike spot" was extremely monotonous, but once the snow deepened up it became more interesting. Views from the North Ridge are excellent and I'd highly recommend this route.
One of these days I'll have to go back at night and see if there are any owls at the Owl Stop.

Rainier view and Marmots
Garen and I reached the summit at 4 pm and were rewarded with a spectacular view of Mount Rainier. There were a lot of marmot burrows on the top but we were being too loud to see one of them pop up. What a long walk...
