Hit Honey Comb Cliffs, Wolverine, Tuscarora, Pioneer, Sunset, Preston, Majestic
Hit these as part of the ridge traverse.
Fun loop after tagging Mt. Superior earlier in the day
Took an out of state friend so she'd not have to change too much elevation and still she struggled, but thoroughly enjoyed the trip. A good mountain but a better general hike to it. Wild flowers were blooming the whole route the day we went. A few gentle storm clouds swirled around but nothing right over us.
9/14/2014 Mini Brighton Ridge Run. From Twin Lakes Reservoir to Mount Millicent, then to Mount Wolverine, Patsy Marley, and on to Evergreen Peak. Interesting scramble/ bushwhack off of Evergreen towards Silver Lake. Kind of sketchy.
9/29/2012 Climbed with the WMC as part of a BCC super loop
Quick ascent...great exercise.
Traversed from Millicent
latest of several before. B base to Twin Lakes Pass, Wolverine, down to Catherine Pass and to base. several times since mostly by snowshoes from Alta side. spectacular 360 degree view, but usually share the top with others.
Great Views of Brighton Resort and the Cottonwood Canyons. Ran across a small moose too.
Still lots of snow and very windy. Started on Mary's Lake TH and continued past Dog Lake to the top of the Crest lift. I took the Pioneer Ridge/Brighton Ridge and hit Pioneer, Sunset, Tuscarora, Wolverine, and Millicent in 4.5 hrs. Pretty good adventure!
#2 7/26/15 - Clayton, Preston, Pioneer, Sunset, Wolverine/Tusc & Millicent
3 - 7/6/18 Catherine>Wolverine>Patsy
4 - Twin Falls>PM>Wolverine>Millicent w Alisa
Been to the top of both as part of various ski tours in the area.
Nice snowshoe trip from Grizzly Gulch up Patsey Marley, Mt. Wolverine, Mt. Tuscarora, Sunset Peak, and Pioneer Peak. All but Pioneer Peak had ski tracks.
12/07/10 Touring took 1 hr 20 mins via Grizzly Gulch.
Catherines Pass trail to the Pass, then Sunset, Pioneer, and Point Supreme. Then over to Tuscarora, Wolverine, and Millicent. Total time 4hours40minutes. Lots of fun.
Started from Catherine Pass parking lot in Albion Basin. Went up from Catherine's Pass and hit Tuscarora, Wolverine and Millicent. Then went down to the Brighton Lakes and back up to Catherine's Pass and out. Three easy peaks to get within a couple of hours. The views are fantastic.
Hiking in moonlight at 1AM above Alta and Brighton.
Fun after work hike. Started at Brighton and hiked up to Catherine's Pass. From there, I walked the ridge over Tuscarora, Wolverine, Patsy Marley, and the Honeycomb Cliffs. Returned to Twin Lakes Pass, and back to Brighton. Lots of moose. Total time was about 2 hours, 43 minutes.
I needed something to do otherwise I would be doing yard work so I remembered this one from a page Eric put up on his webpage. So I went to Alta without my skiis and hiked up to Catherine's pass from where I went up to Tuscarora and then over to Wolverine. Nie nice view point. Just outstanding. Then I went back down via a cross country route that I picked from the saddle between the two peaks. Lots of people on the trail but no one else on the mountains.
The road closure added at least a mile onto the hike (one-way). My cousin, Annie, and I did it on a beautiful day with thunderstorms that came in as we left in the car. Millicent peak made it a fairly successful jaunt in the mountains but really, it was just some quality time with family.
A few years ago I skied (well, rode) the east face of Wolverine with Mockba during the winter, but I had never been to this area in the summer. As part of a day of easy hiking and bagging some easy peaks, I got up Tuscarora and Wolverine, as well as Sunset from Catherine Pass.
