Thanks for the good vote. BTW, checked out your Emory Peak photos. Good stuff! So that's where Oklahoma'n mountaineers go to escape the winter? Would definitely like to make it out to Big Bend NP one day - looks like a great (esp. winter) destination.
You're right. Big Bend or Guadalupe Mountains are the place to go in the dead of winter. However, Big Bend is farther from OK than it is to Colorado. Actually, winter is when we get all our single-pitch rock climbing done. It's too hot to rock climb in the summer in Oklahoma......so we go to the Rockies!
Not sure yet. I almost went last August, but had a conflict. A group of us Spokaners usually do 1 or 2 field trips per year down there, and I'm definately making the trip this year.
Enough already! I'll check your pics later when I get the chance. You and Klenke are going to remove me from my throne with your endless stream of contributions to SP!

You know if you need to escape the snow and rain, Smith is usually a good option for that this time of the year :).

Untitled CommentFine Page! I'm always fascinated by the climbing pages on S.P. though myself I don't climb (not more than 2nd degree anyway). Looking good!
