Mountaineers Route

Kevin describes this picture like this; "I'm that white spot leading out P4 to the left of the Diamond. Origionally I wanted to stay close to the crack system for good protection, but the good holds were out on the face and arete'. So out I went. The climbing was easy 5.8 so I ran it out quite a bit. Before I knew it I was 100 feet above my last piece of gear. Just go give Wes a rise, I said, "Hey watch me here, its kind of tricky." (I was pulling on juggs the whole time.) "IT'D BE NICE IF YOU PUT IN SOME GEAR!!" Wes yelled up at me. Before moving out onto the arete' I put in a cam, then climbed about 5 feet higher and plugged in a nut. I have to say, I only got spooked once. Cory got to lead the glory pitch at the top 5.9. There were some tricky hand jams wth no feet. It was a little airy."
