Holy Cross Wilderness

To the right, the drainage below is Cross Creek. You are looking at the high end of Cross Creek. A trail which travels the length of the drainage (about 15 miles) starts at the lower end of the Tigiwon Road. At the end of Holy Cross ridge you can see a mountain barely poking up behind. This is Savage Peak, another wonderful climb in the area. This mountain is accessed from the beautiful Missouri Lakes Basin, which is hidden behind the Holy Cross Ridge in this photo.
