Thanks Gangolf. It was a syrup company that put its product in a bottle shaped like a black maid charactor called "Aunt Jemima". By todays standards, the product design would be considered politically incorrect. But in the 70's it became one of the top two maple syrup products (Log Cabin the other) in North America. This rock formation does look just like it. Cheers.

Hey. I do plan to stop by and introduce myself. Hopefully we can do some climbs next summer as I head north to Alaska. I've got what I think is an awesome rig for backcountry adventures. And that's great that your daughter is helping out in Ecuador. I did the same years ago with the Peace Corps. I took my oldest son back with me to see where I was stationed. He seems to have some of the same ideas that I had at that age, so I think he too may end up there one day.
