Well, here it is, my 61st birthday and I'm actually climbing Mt Rainier. At this point I have no idea whether I'll make it all the way to the summit, but I've already decided that if I can only manage to get part way up the mountain from the camp at Ingraham Flats, that in itself will be quite an adventure. Especially since I've never climbed a mountain before. If I make it, this will be my first, ever.
