Mt. Diablo across the North Bay
Over several levels to the most dominant peak in the Bay Area.
Mt. Diablo has one of the most expansive views on a clear day of any mountain on Earth in spite of being only 3,849'. It sits midway on the edge of the great Central Valley and has a local prominence that easily dwarfs everything around.
On clear winter days you can make out many Sierra peaks including Half Dome 140 miles distant.
