Not really sure. Sebastopol doesn=t appear in the movies as far as I know. The Misty Mountains were filmed around Glenorchy near Mt Earnslaw. Other bits were filmed around Queenstown. A lot of the stuff is computer enhanced of course.
Well it=s certainly a rewarding day hike/scramble as far as views go.
Actually it seems to me that there is a possibility of a traverse from Sebastopol to Mt Annette and on to Ollivier and back down to Mt Cook village via Seally Tarns. Gunna study the topo map and see if I can=t get a SP team together for it. I reckon it would be a great couple of days on the hill.
