Awesome

What a view. You get a lot of other great photos that day?

Re: Awesome

LOTS. On good gliding days like the day I took the photo you are talking about I often get over 200 air photos. I have about 50 gig of photos on my computer hard drive, many are air photos taken on flights over the San Juan Mountains and surrounding areas.

I'm a very lucky guy. I get to fly over some of the most spectacular scenery in America, and I also get to hike in the same area. I fly as much as the weather allows, and I hike a lot, both with small groups and with members of a local hiking organization (Seniors Outdoors). On both the gliding flights and the hiking I always have my 8mp camera with me, and when I see things worth a photo, I take them.

You can access photos of some of our hikes at http://www.seniorsoutdoors.org/. Many I have taken, and on some hike photo groups we post an air photo of the area we hiked in.

If there might be any other particular areas you might like to see, I'd be willing to share them with you. If so, email me direct at soaring19@gmail.com

Cheers,
Bob T.
