First winter ascent ever?

Congrats! I'm thinking I would like to get into that crampon thing. It looks like a blast, but challenging. Great picture too!

Re: First winter ascent ever?

It was really tough but worth it. Yes it was my first real winter ascent. I've climbed other things with snowshoes but they were easy class 1 peaks at fairly low elevation. I just got tired of having to end my season during the winter and decided to learn how to do this.

Good point man! I guess I need to follow your example.

Great photo,

make sure to take care of those valuable fingers in the winter months. Nothing like playing the piano, not even mountaineering.
Happy climbing,
Marc
