I wish I could go backpacking again. Unfortunately, I've never had the right back for that. But - as the gear's getting lighter and lighter - I still hope to go on a few days' trip one day :)
Jacku, sometime on the top of Izerskie Garby during early spring I observed from my tent through ca 30 min a mating dance of a black grouse male :-) Even well experienced ornithologists were jealous of this.
Wow! I don't think I've ever seen them in Poland; they seemed to be fairly frequent in Norway (I spent a few summers there in the 1990's) but I saw a male just once - and no dance - just a glance:) and they were off.
