Do not Take Loop Lightly  Sucess!

There is bushy route finding and the hike back over the mesa was not the stroll through the woods i expected. But definitely do this loop.

Natural Bridges  Sucess!

July 2001 did the drive, April 2017 did the loop hike going under all 3 bridges. Wonderful place.

Natural Bridges

What a great little monument! I love this one- small, not too crowded. Wish I could work there. We drove the loop and checked out all the viewpoints the afternoon before, then camped outside the park. Next day we did the loop to all three bridges, starting at Sipapu and ending at Owachomo, then back across the mesa. Definitely worth it (even for this guy, who can't stand going to official parks and crowded places)!!

Re: Natural Bridges

Back again 4/29/18 for a shorter loop hike with my parents to Sipapu and Kachina. Saw a petroglyph I hadn't seen last time. Always great times here!

The Loop Hike is a Must  Sucess!

Did the loop hike in the rain in May 2015. Amazing canyons and the bridges are hard to beat! There is a surprise awaiting the inquisitive visitor near Kachina Bridge.

Nice break from the road.  Sucess!

Plenty of nice trails to keep you busy if you wish. We spent a few hours on the drive and a few short hikes.

Quick visit  Sucess!

Stopped here on my way to Bluff, Utah, close to sunset on a day with dramatic skies. I saw enough to know it rates another visit.

Easy hike/scramble to each of the bridges, worth a half day. Also did in June 2009.

Been Here Several Times  Sucess!

Somehow, it's a very spiritual place. It's also a good place to escape the insects in June.

Owachomo-Kachina-Sipapu Loop  Sucess!

I have hiked this 8.7-mile loop a couple of times several years ago, in both summer and winter, but this time I was accompanied by my wife and 10-1/2-month-old son, DayHikerJr. Temperatures started off comfortable, with some cloud cover, but the clouds cleared out as the afternoon progressed, in some mysterious reverse-monsoon fashion. So we were quite hot by the time we reached Sipapu Bridge and had to hike up and out of the canyon. But the canyon and its bridges were beautiful and well worth all the suffering.

Winter Descent  Sucess!

Made a descent down to the Bridges during a winter road trip back east. No one around. The sun was shining and it was a bluebird day. Splendid.
