Why is it

called Navajo Peak? Is it in Navajo lands? Does it look like a Navajo indian or something like that?

This awesome mountain is in an area known as the Indian Peaks. Most of these mountains have official or unofficial names the same as US native tribal names (Paiute, Navajo, Shoshone, etc.)

Look just to the right of Navajo and you'll see an outcrop affectionately known as Dickers Peck. ... Hmmm.
