North of I-70, not far from where you turn to go to Hilgard Mountain, is highway 10, a road that takes you north to Emery and Ferron Utah. In Ferron, you will see this plaque along the sidewalk in the middle of town (east side of street). If you can, stop and take in this plaque as it tells of one of my ancestors who was part of settling this area when it was a pretty tough area to try and eke a living from.
