No bridge

We're following a fading trail on the slopes just east of and above Svínafellsjökull, hoping to find a good way to drop on the glacier itself somewhere higher up. Early on the trail was easy to see, and the first stream it crossed actually had a bridge. As we're getting further away from civilization, the trail is becoming less well defined, and we'll have to find our own way across some streams and the occasional wet area. 17 May 2017.
