Non- snow conditions

Nice page! Do you know what this route would be during the summer months (no snow)?

summertime

Thanks! Always nice to hear. I have not been up there in the summer, but I have heard that the route is still fun, but the rock is very loose up there and I believe it would be more treacherous than the snowy ridge walk. The snow not only covers the loose rock but widens and flattens the ridge as well. The one thing the summer scramble has going for it is that you can drive basically up to the base of Silver Peak, shaving off over 3 miles from the I-90 approach, or a lot of elevation off of the Exit 47 Asahel Curtis approach.

Cheers, Kelley
