Re: Back from the depths!Yep, I'll be back up in the mountains in 1year tops, and I'm fairly young (35) so this little problem called Acute Leukemia doesn't matter much in a lifetime hehehe
That is a promess: 1 year tops!

Kick this thingSquare in the ass and send it packing! Like they said in the westerns: you and the horse you rode in on, pal! =)
Keep fighting, knowing there are climbers all over the world pulling for ya.
The mountains miss ya, buddy, and can't wait to see you dancing up their slopes again soon!!!
Abraço,
Sarah

Re: Kick this thingI will be, in no time!
Time passes by really fast, and next month will be 1 year since I find out I was sick, and I kept in the mountains until november 2012, so if you think, so far I lost only three months of mountain time hehehe
And right now, it is summer here so too much, too much rain, lightning (Brazil is the number 1 country in the world of lightning!! Too dangerous), so think again, I didn't lost 1 day so far ahahahhaha
And I'll be back on my feet in 1 year tops, write that down.
Best wishes Sarah!

Your so strongI'm not surprised you are one of the 5% that survives this type of infection. Your physical fitness is paying off as people who are not strong at the beginning never fare as well. So happy you made it through first round and I'm sure you are going to beat this. Your an extremly admired and respected person on here and I'm sure in your everyday life. Thoughts are with you,

Re: Your so strongNot only my physical fitness, I have this thanks to our sport!
And I'll be forever thankful to mountaineering, specially altitude mountaineering which I love.
Thanks for the kind message!

Hard to KillYou still look like a pirate there, Paulo, just a wounded one after he won his toughest knife fight. Now I am rooting for you to get your swagger back!
