Does someone have an agenda?

Great shot! Why someone would give this pic less than 3 stars is beyond me. (I gave it 4.) They must have an agenda outside SP. I have a great pic of my son on Blodgett Peak with the US Airforce Academy behind him and it has been hacked by poor votes. Other pics of him on the peak have been treated nicely. Go figure. Keep carrying the flag to the top of CO 14ers proudly. Maybe I'll see you along the way? It would be an honor.

Re: Does someone have an agenda?

Someone's agenda for voting less than 4 stars (signifying that the photo is truly excellent ) on the photo of your son with the AFA behind him (BTW, I didn't personally vote on it) might include these reasons:

* It only shows him from the neck up

* his eyes are in shadow

* the horizon line is skewed (not 0 degrees)

* no mountains are in sight

* the only visible background is the Great Plains, with a few indistinguishable buildings in the far distance

Re: Does someone have an agenda?

I can buy some of this up to a point, but only up to a point. Why did his summit pose get nothing but 4 stars? In that pic his eyes are in shadow, the horizon line is skewed, no other mountains are in sight and the only visible background is the Great Plains. The biggest difference is that all of him is in the pic and it is minus the United States Airforce Academy. I have put far worse pics up on my site that have been treated much better. Maybe I am reading too much into this, but after all the politically correct garbage I read last week, some of which was deleted, in response to The Marine's pics, I don't think so.

BTW, thanks for pointing the skewed horizon/not 0 degrees. I'll pay more attention to that in the future.

I echo shanrickys comments...you put those nice shots up and I will give them 4 stars all day long. People need to vote pics on their quality, and this is of 4 star quality. Now if you put up a lousy pic, out of focus, even if it has the American flag I would vote it down. Conversely, I would give 4 stars to a summit shot of somebody holding a French, Canadian, German, Lithuainian, or Mexican flag if it was a good shot.
