Spaceship Rock ..Somebody ought to do a page on that one!
Hopefully, your dog found some water. That area's pretty sparse when it comes to a reliable water source.
Guess the colorful rocks make up for it.

Re: Spaceship Rock ..That name is so fitting to that rock. Didn't know it had a name. Yeah, we carried plenty of water for Luna, she loved this hike. She didn't care so much for Wilson Mountain though, she's a cold weather dog and that was a hot day. But she had a blast on this little jaunt around those Sedona icons.

But, snow usually doesn't stick on those icons
for very long ... nothing like in the Cascades where the snow lasts all year.

Re: Spaceship Rock ..I bet that looks amazing on Wilson right now. And yes, the lack of ability to get into a lot of the Cascades right now makes those winter and spring trips to Arizona so nice! Not sure if we will make it down again this year but I hope to at some point to get some more hikes in around that area and hit the San Francisco peaks too.
