Didn't touch the top...
Mark and I hiked in from the north with some elk, extremly windy! Did some bouldering on the south side and headed out.

Pingree Park
Nice climb, couldn't spend too long on summit as thunderstorms were threatening

Stormy Pass
A quick jaunt up from the pass while trail running. A nice cool morning with no one around.

Stormy Day on Stormy Peaks
Literally two seconds after I reached the top of the summit, we heard the first boom of thunder to the west, and so had to scurry back down below timberline. It really stinks we couldn't enjoy the great views, especially since the storm never came! But better safe than sorry ...

From the North Fork Trailhead
Stormy Peaks were the first summits of a long day that included Stormy Peaks, Sugarloaf, Ramsey, and Skull Point. We decended via Icefield Pass.
Route Climbed: Bushwhack from Stormy Peaks Trailhead Date Climbed: April 17, 2004
I started from Stormy Peaks Trailhead. I had trouble staying on the trail and ended up bushwhacking the last half of the hike to the summit through deep, wet snow. It took me five hours to cover the five miles and 3,000' to the summit. Needless to say I was exhausted by the time I got to the summit and utterly destroyed by the time I made it back to the car. Good views and fun scrambling made the trip worth all the effort though.
