On our way to the Hoher Nebelkogel

The summit is in the center, to the northwest. The Oberer Seekarsee is to our left, hidden from view behind the rocks. The hiking trail passes the lake, then leads to the saddle right of center and to the Hochstubaihütte beyond. From the saddle, it's easy going to the Hoher Nebelkogel. However, we have a more interesting route planned: we'll turn left soon, off trail, go around the lake and then scramble up the south ridge (in this photo from left to right). 3 July 2012.
