On the haast ridge looking at Mt. Hadinger 1984
After being unable to find the Haast hut in a white out we settled in to a cold and wet bivy in a sort of cave. We awoke to beautiful clear skies a mere 100 feet away from the hut. The comedy of the situation is clearly visble on my partners face.
