On top of the Gehrengrat

Fascinating view to the Lechquellengebirge - the mountains that form the entourage of the sources of the Lech river (which also flows through the german city of Augsburg).

Beautiful scenery!

You captured it really well, Eric!
By the way - when will you write something for SummitPost. A route or mountain description?

Re: Beautiful scenery!

Thanks a lot, dear Vid!! I'll give it a thought! Fact is, I've done so many mountain hikes in the last 25 years which were just fabulous - in the Valle d'Aosta, in the Valais, in the pyrenees, in Tyrol, in South Tyrol, in the Salzburger Land - but I never had any camera with me until this year! Now that I have one, I hope very much that next summer I will find the time to do something big again, over several days, not just one-day tours, and then I'd find it lots of fun to write a report or create a page! It's just that right now I don't feel I have enough material for a really interesting trip report like the ones you or silversummit posted! I could of course describe the Geiselkopf route, but dalton1 has already done so here. But don't worry - give me a bit of time still - after all, it's only my second week :-) -and I will write something!
Many greetings and best of wishes to you and till soon again hopefully - now I'm going to get 'round to posting the last 10 of my Lech area photos!

Cheers,

Eric

Re: Beautiful scenery!

Eric, I understand that you would like to do complete pages - with pictures. But think of it - pictures are really a least problem of any page. Would be better if they were yours, yes, but at the end pictures come from many members, often even too many of them. On SummitPost the most precious is collaboration of members. So, if you did tours which haven't been described yet, just go ahead. Then pictures will come. And if you search on SummitPost for your mountains, it is very likely that there are already some pictures. For me, routes pages and even mountain pages can be posted even without pictures - as long as you are ready to maintain and update them. But because you musicians are a bit perfectionists, I will give you time, he he ;)

Cheers!
Vid
