Re: Striking contrastsThanks again. This is one of those pictures that actually turned out better than I excepted. Of course, I've missed out on a ton of great pictures because I didn't have a camera with me.

Re: Striking contrastsI think 99 of my hundred best photos fell victim to camera in the pack/truck.

Re: Striking contrastsAgreed, the best pictures are the ones we didn't take.

ThanksI had no idea these mountains even existed when I saw them twenty years ago driving along I-10. I've been meaning to get back there ever since then but haven't ever made it. Thanks for posting these great pictures, they're keeping the Organ Mountains on my mind!

Re: ThanksThanks for the nice compliments! I love this area, and having the Organs (along with other ranges) close by is a big plus.

The dark cloudon the right seems to be making the moment for you. It seems to cast a dark shadow on the mid section of the mountain making the rest of the mountain stand out so beautifully. Great moment you have captured.
Happy climbing,
Marc

Re: The dark cloudThanks, Marc! Yes, I agree that the clouds complement the scene very well. Take care,
Ray
