Thanks for your follow-up. Now I don't feel so bad that we stopped to rest for an hour. Like Tom said, we saw you when you went by us when we stopped and I thought to myself: "Those guys look so strong and they'll be at the trailhead long, long before we will because they seem to have endless energy." Little did we know!
Yep, on the traverse, we keep looking back to see where you two were after we first noticed you sizing up T-Bolt's summit block as we were nearing Starlight. Good show, guys.
that's me in the photo; I had remembered the block being easier than it looked, so I was trying to find my old magic beta. Never found that secret beta, so just took the standard way.
My energy seems to drop as soon as I hit the trail -- it's probably because you can suddenly relax after so many hours of watching every single step. I nearly fell asleep walking that night!
Good job on the pace for you guys, especially with the mishap at the notch. I kept thinking we were going to catch you, and then I was a bit disheartened on Sill when you were out of sight. That descent on the glacier was UNPLEASANT!
Congrats on your achievement! Good read & pics. Brings back the many memories of climbing I've done on & around those magnificent peaks (though not at once). Keep the good tidings of the mountains for many trips to come!
Thanks for the great writeup and pictures .I agree with your comments about the names . I do not think that they should be changed. In 60 years of Sierra summits ,the Palisades are the only place that I ever seen a first ascent record still in place .
Thanks for your comment. Makes me feel good to know that sharing an exciting experience via writing and pictures can bring a smile to the face of at least one reader.
Tom and Glenn: I have just been up Mt Sill- and having a healthy respect for Sierra exposure... I stand back and applaud your accomplishment with great admiration! Thanks for setting the bar high for all of us "duffers"!

Re: awesomeIt was one of the best trips -- T-bolt needed someone like Glenn to free-climb it but it can be lassoed. Thanks for reading
