We're just below 500 m, looking up at a southern section of the garbled upper Svínafellsjökull glacier. The nearby part looks fairly harmless, but higher up appears to be rather different. We'll take a wide turn, and go to the far left, around Svínahryggur (1628m). 18 May 2017.
