Wild Area
This is one of the wilder areas of New Mexico I've been to. Been up a few of its lower peaks (not on SP) and a few of the higher ones. Had an epic 19.2 mile day and some easier afternoon jaunts.
Thick vegetation, animals and water are in abundance here.
I'm actually kinda surprised at how little one has to drive from Santa Fe (high desert) to reach what is essentially the mountains and montaine. Great place!!!
