You're right; given that this happens seemingly every year, it probably isn't unbelievable. .

To be honest I do not see why number of people dieing in Yosemite is so low. There are literary a dozen people at the base of multiple routes on middle cathedral alone every weekend. Rock fall happens frequently and could be caused by climbers as well as natural forces. Popular places with other climbers above are death traps IMO. Also, I witnessed tourists do crazy stunts for a hero shot by both Vernal and Nevada falls in the past. REALLY surprised number of deaths is not higher…sad to have 2 deaths on El Cap in last 2 weeks alone…
