Anyone hicked Ixta mountain in Mexico????

Next summer, I will attempt Ixta in July. I would love to talk to someone who hicked Ixta or Popocatepelt.

Popo is closed to climbing and July is the worst time of year to climb Izta.

Why is it the worst time of the year. could you explain and is totally impossible or simply a little wet because it is the rain season?

It is not impossible, but it will likely rain or snow the entire time. Even in Mexico City, which is drier than the mountains, it rains an average of 27 days in July. See here:
