AT southbound: Long Falls Dam road to Little Bigelow

I heard a report the other day. I guess there might be some logging on the Bowman Road, the first mile of that was plowed. Snow 30"+ off the sides. Road plowed.

Have not been there lately, but the Bigelow Preserve is my favorite section of AT :)

Tons of snow for sure. Are you going to snowshoe or XC ski?

Possibly both. The plan was to ski into Flagstaff Lake Hut on Sunday - not from Long Falls Dam Road, but from the Gauge Road trailhead via Poplar Stream Falls hut, then get an early start Monday and attempt Little Bigelow as a side trip on our way back. Would be nice if the AT was packed out and we didn't need to carry snowshoes...but probably not a good idea to be on it.
