It looks really, really dry there compared a 'normal' June. Would not like to see it in August.

It seems Peru is also relatively dry right now, and there does seem to be a La Nina in progress. Good thing you got in early, and a good reference for future seasons.

I also have unfinished business on Illampu - I'd say a few people do!

Wow, I love those pics! I am in Bolivia now and just finished climbing the Direct Route on Pequeno Alpamayo over the weekend! Absolutely stunning!! Great photos, an amazing country! It was awesome to spend a month here climbing in the Cordillera Real and Occidental!!!

I agree with some of the above posts...did someone say Illampu? That now sits atop my wish list for Bolivia!!!

Loved your pics- thanks for sharing them. I need to get a clue with my (lack of) photography skills. I can't wait to go back to Bolivia.
