Storm.... good one. I was 10 yrs old when this one was taken, Mark Powell is sitting there with the torn shirt, he got me into climbing 10 years later.

The "racking up" is a old custom, when I was 11-12 years old we hiked out of Humbler Park almost every weekend. I always went and looked for climbers who were "racking up", and getting ready for the "big stone" .....

That stuff sure looks heavy. That is one of the biggest improvements since then.

Climbing with goldline rope, steel biners, a hammer, goldline runners and wearing hiking boots.... sort of puts 5.6 in perspective.

When I started "clean climbing" Powell was very skeptical..... I assured him that you don't need to drive hexes into cracks...... :wink:
