conditions on classic ice faces in the Eastern Alps?

by bledl » Wed Mar 23, 2011 8:19 am

Hi everybody!

Anyone climbed classic ice or mixed routes in the Eastern Alps these days? I think about the north face routes on Großglockner, the routes in the Pitztal or Zillertal or in the Ortler area.

Thanks for any beta!
Flo.

Glockner North Face might be a little bit early (IMHO)
The Firn Couloir on Sonnblick (Goldberggruppe) - http://www.summitpost.org/hoher-sonnblick/152187 and http://www.summitpost.org/ski-descent-o ... ace/164578 has already been climbed this year
sorry no information about Pitztal, Zillertal and Ortler
