cordillera huaywash guides

by ColoradoSonya » Wed Jan 25, 2006 4:00 am

My husband and I are planning a two week trek through the Cordillera Huayhuash during mid June. We're looking for recommendations for guiding companies with a good track record. Also, if you've done the trek... how many days did you spend on the trek, and how many rest/weather contingency days should we include?

Thanks!

I've done a couple of trips in the Cordillera Blanca with Skyline Adventures (http://sladventureschool.com/) and have been very happy with them. They also do Cordillera Huayhuash trips. They do packaged trips, but are much less expensive than the big companies (as are all of the local companies in Huaraz), although all of the packaged trips are more expensive than simply doing it all yourself.
